The hallway was filled with various decorations symbolizing today's event, ranging from pink to red to white hearts as they either dangle or stick onto a wall along the way.

You've never really cared for Valentine's Day, most of the time you often forget the said occasion exists if it weren't for the sales in malls on either bouquets or chocolates.

But today was different—today was special. You thought as you clutched a red velvet box in your arms as you stride through the ocean of students.

Usually, you'd leave this in his locker for him to find out or either let one of your classmates hand it over to them. But this year is different, you were feeling bold!

Just as you were in the middle of your internal dialogue, you were jerked back to reality when his classroom door opened, revealing the heart of your days. 

"I fucking hate this day, my locker is filled with junk and I have no room left."

"But that doesn't mean you have to burn those gifts, Geo."

"Or what? Give them to Deryl? Good luck handling him on his little sugar rush. Thankfully that fool only gets like 2 bags."

Crowe rolls his eyes at Geo, the said male only grunted. Your hands started feeling clammy, sweat accumulating at your temple as you nervously stepped forward to where he is, your legs shaking with each and every step.

But as you keep getting closer, more people start to pile around him, either asking for assignments or questions as he answers them diligently. 

Your heart went up your throat as you gripped the box in your hands. All of your confidence suddenly got thrown out of the window.

That's right... Who am I kidding!? 

He's perfect while I'm just some nobody! Maybe this year isn't it... 

Maybe I should throw these away? No, they're my hard work... eugh maybe eat them? Or mail it to someone else-

"Are you alright there?"

From the corner of your eye, there he stood in all his elegance, , a smile breaks out of his features, his friend beside him takes notice of this and stops talking. You quickly hid the box at your back.

“You’re quite early.”

"Our teacher dismissed us quite early..." you said sheepishly. 

"I'll be heading out now, I'll see you later." his friend says as he gives his shoulder one last tap before heading away. You wanted to start saying something but your nervousness was taking a toll on you that instead of words, you could only make out a few exhales and gasps.

God! Why am I so nervous! I thought I had enough willpower to pull this through!

But you were cut off with something before you.

Your eyes went wide at the small bag of chocolates in his hands as he gave them to you, causing you to drop your mouth open from surprise.

"Happy Valentine's Day. Oh and, don't think I don't see that box behind your back." He teases with a chuckle, making you blush from the melodic sound.

Finally taking out the velvet box from your back, you finally looked up and met his ever most dazzling eyes—and you swear for a second they sparkled when he met yours.

"Happy Valentine's Day Crowe."

You sigh in relief after placing down your heavy sling bag on the ground, taking out a few books you plan on leaving in your locker. Instead of seeing a half empty locker however, to your surprise, there was a bouquet inside.

You looked around, hoping to see someone that may have placed it in your locker accidentally but there seems to be no one.

It really is for me...

You carefully took it out, on it is a tag, you picked it up and read it.

Roses may be red

Violets can be blue

But how can they compare to someone as radiant as you?

You giggle at the little rhyme, flipping the card but only see blank making you pout.

Ok, keep your secrets.

You thought as you tucked the card in your pockets. You examined the contents of the bouquet as a mix of red roses, daisies, purple tulips and forget-me-nots. All in all, it's a beautiful arrangement of flowers. You weren't the one who usually is too keen on flower language but maybe you can search it up once you get home.

You made it out of the school gates. The sky is painted in red as a few birds fly over. You see Crowe by the gate as he waits for you. He takes notice of the bouquet in your arms, making him raise his eyebrows in curiosity.

“That’s a beautiful bouquet… Who is it from?” he asked. You shrugged.

“I don’t know.. But they’re beautiful, that's for sure…”

“Looks expensive too.”

“Anyway, we should head home now.”

“Oh! Of course!” you perk up.

And with that, you and Crowe walked along the sidewalk, him holding your gift to his chest as you with the bouquet. Failing to notice a pair of reddish orange eyes following your figure.

His eyes filled with longing and desire as he clenched his chest where his ever beating heart resides.
