IP GUIDELINES

Not everyone can check my card stating all of my rules concerning my work and "The Kid at the Back"'s IP, especially regarding pirating my game.
I made this to clarify my stance and answer some commonly asked questions.

First, "The Kid at the Back" is made by ONE PERSON. I am not a company, I am not a team studio, I am simply a one-man dev, and I do all of the coding, the writing with the help of some friends, and most especially the art.

Second, I only made this Visual Novel for FUN. It is a passion project, and I don't have a proper schedule for working on it since I have other real-life jobs to do.
I travel most of the time, and I do artist booths within my country, so my time is minimal. This means I only work on the game during my free time.

DISCLAIMER

These guidelines do not grant a copyright license to any "The Kid at the Back" or any of Fantasia_kitt|TealCatArt-related content. 

MUSIC & SOUND EFFECTS

All music used in "The Kid at the Back" is royalty-free or free to use. 

All music used in the game is either downloaded/or bought.

Do you plan on hiring composers in the near future/replacing the current music with original soundtracks?

> I think the music in-game is too iconic for some people now, so no, I won't be hiring a composer to replace the music currently in-game. However, I plan on hiring a composer for future projects after "The Kid at the Back".

GAMES

• MINORS OR AGES BELOW 18 ARE PROHIBITED FROM PLAYING THE GAME AND ACTIVELY INTERACTING WITHIN THE GAME OR ANY R18 SPACES. My game tackles multiple taboo topics, and it will only get worse from here. 
  
• You are NOT allowed to reupload any of my games to any websites, drives, group chats, servers, social media or any other platforms.
  
• You are NOT allowed to reupload my games with edits (ex. modding).
  
•  Please keep in mind that regardless of a game of mine gets uploaded or redistributed on my site or on my patreon, it is not an invitation for you to freely reupload and distribute them. If you have any of my games reuploaded at the moment, please take them down. Please keep in mind as well that merely deleting the post with the link is not enough, anyone who has the link saved or shared still has access to the files.
  
• Please be careful of harmful sites with my game reuploaded in them, I have my game uploaded nowhere else but itch.io. If you found my game in a different site, please just mass report it or ignore it, it may be a potential virus as well so please keep safe and think twice before you download anything online.
  
• Please support small indie game devs, not just myself but for other devs as well by refraining from reuploading their games, their game assets and from refraining from supporting privacy sites/reuploads of their games. As I've stated above, I only have my game uploaded in itch.io and nowhere else.

STREAMING, VIDEOS AND UPLOADS

• You are welcome to stream only the FREE version of my game, complete with censors and trigger warnings.
  
• Streaming or Posting the PAID or NSFW version of the game in public sites such as YouTube, Bilibili, TikTok, Facebook, etc. is PROHIBITED.
  
• You are NOT ALLOWED to post any CGs/Illustrations from the NSFW version in public sites and platforms (TikTok, Twitter/X, Pinterest, BlueSky, etc.) be it in image or video format.
  
• You are NOT ALLOWED to post the FULL NSFW version of the game in public and private servers with MINORS or anyone below 18, this is also an act of piracy in which I do not allow as well.

ART

With the exception of A FEW BACKGROUND Images, both UI, Sprites, CG/Illustration art are created by myself. Below here will tackle both using my assets in general and for fan works.

ALLOWED:

• You are allowed to make minimal edits for PERSONAL USE AND NON-COMMERICAL USE ONLY.
  
• You are allowed to make fan merchandise in small events like Cupsleeve events, Art events, Conventions, etc. 
  
• You are allowed to print CG/illustrations in game for PERSONAL use only.

NOT ALLOWED:

•  You are NOT allowed to use my official game assets and art in commercial merchandise. This includes, CG art, Background art and Sprites.
  
• You are NOT allowed to reupload, rip assets, redistribute, or SELL any of the assets/artwork made for "The Kid at the Back."
  
• Please refrain from reuploading exclusive artworks from the Patreon site, those are made solely for my patreons.
  
• DO NOT edit the game sprites, the in-game CGs or my art and changing the over-all appearance of my characters and artworks. 
  
• You are NOT allowed to profit using the game's assets and official art posted by the creator, both in-game and in their social media accounts.
  
• COMPANIES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MASS PRODUCE MERCHANDISE USING "The Kid at the Back" and its name and characters unless under a contract/collaboration, otherwise, it is strictly prohibited.

I allow making of fan merch be it personal usage or selling in art events/conventions as long as it doesn't use the game's name, characters and most especially official artwork (images in game like sprites, CGs, assets and background. Those are my own artworks so it's basically stealing and selling my work.)

I do not approve of mass producing as well, especially using my game's name and characters and assets/work in companies (or mass producing in general).

Are you looking for translators?

Besides a few that I have agreed and them starting, for now, I would like to finish my own game before I could look or even approve for a translation for it to be made easier for both me and the translator.
